It’s been a long time coming, but this year Creux have branched out from being a casual cycling clothing brand to one that also has a few pieces of dedicated cycle wear. Having been following their Instagram feed closely I was pretty excited to get my hands on the new REcon jersey, which dropped last month for a tragically brief period – selling out immediately! Apparently they’ll be back soon though, so in the mean time here’s what I think of it.
The jersey is fabricated by Vermarc, who also make jerseys for Etixx Quickstep and Lotto-Soudal among others. The materials and fit are the same as what the pros are wearing, indeed the cut is so pro that a men’s medium fits me beautifully, while with most standard sizing a men’s XS is my size. Needless to say these run small, so check your measurements carefully against a jersey you already have.
The bold graphics are super cool and match the cap which came out earlier this year. I’ve got no real issues with this jersey at all – it’s comfortable, fits like a glove and is well put together. The pockets could be bigger, but that wouldn’t bother me if I used a saddle pack.
Looking forward to more of this kind of thing from Creux…
