Here’s a bit of a throwback to my entry into Rapha’s Festive 500 competition for 2014/15. Coupled with a little hand-drawn journal which I sent to them, this ended up winning “Best online & offline entry”, sort of second place, I guess? I was chuffed to bits but I’m not going to lie, I really wanted to win that Feather Cycles bike!

I would have loved to have done the ride again this year but I spent Christmas with my partner’s family in Colorado, no bike but I did challenge myself to run 50km in the same time frame instead. Which, as it turns out, was considerably easier than riding 500, despite the snow, lack of flat terrain and being at over 8000ft altitude.
I’ll be spending much of this year hatching evil plans of ways I can better my entry for 2016.
